DIGI-PASS: Empowering Pissouri Through Digital Knowledge

DIGI-PASS is a 2-year Erasmus+ project (March 2026 – February 2028) implemented in Pissouri, Cyprus. The project focuses on promoting digital inclusion, strengthening digital skills, and encouraging intergenerational learning within the local community.
The project brings together young people, older adults, and individuals with fewer opportunities, aiming to support them in becoming more confident and active in the digital world. By combining education, community engagement, and practical support, DIGI-PASS addresses real digital challenges faced in everyday life.
Objectives
- Bridge the digital divide in the community
- Improve digital skills and access to e-services
- Create a sustainable local digital platform
- Develop a digital map of Pissouri (landmarks, businesses, ecotourism)
- Promote inclusion and equal access to digital tools
- Empower young people to take active roles in the community

The project includes a range of inclusive and practical activities:
- Research and focus groups to understand community digital needs
- Digital skills workshops for youth, elderly, and community members
- Intergenerational mentoring (young people supporting older adults)
- Development of a digital platform and interactive map
- Community innovation events and co-creation activities

Expected Impact
DIGI-PASS will improve digital literacy among approximately 500 participants and create a lasting impact in the community. The project will establish a permanent digital platform, promote local businesses and tourism, and strengthen community connections.
By reducing digital barriers and increasing access to online services, participants will gain confidence and apply their skills in everyday life. The project also aims to inspire similar initiatives and contribute to digital inclusion at local and European levels.
